This tutorial was made in PSP 8.10.
You will need the following items in order to complete this tutorial.


Paint Shop Pro

Images
Right click and "save" images to your favorite folder

* Please make sure to save often

 

  1. Open a new transparent image 550 width x 550 height.

  2. Bring up both your apbbfur pattern and your apbbcolor in to your PSP area.

  3. Go to layers> new raster layer and rename your new layer body.  Click OK.

 

    4.  Go to selections> load save selection> load selection from disk and browse
          to your apbbbody.sel by clicking on the arrow and highlighting it.  Click Load.

 

  5.  Click on your foreground color to bring up your material screen.  Click on the pattern
       tab and browse to your apbbfur pattern by clicking on the arrow and highlighting it.
       Click OK.

 

  6.  Click on your flood fill can and flood your selection with your apbbfur pattern.
       Select None.

  7.  Go to I-Decay> Radial Diffuse and use the settings below.  Click OK.

  8.  Go to adjust> sharpness> sharpen.

  9.  Go to layers> new raster layer and rename your new layer belly.  Click OK.

 10. Go to selections> load save selection> load selection from disk and browse
        to your apbbbelly.sel by clicking on the arrow and highlighting it.  Click Load.

 11. Click on your flood fill can and flood your selection with your apbbcolor.
      

* Your transparent image and layer palette should now look like this


 

 12.  Select None.

 13.  Go to layers> new raster layer and rename your new layer Head.  Click OK.

 14.  Go to selections> load save selection> load selection from disk and browse
        to your apbbhead.sel by clicking on the arrow and highlighting it.  Click Load.

 15.  Click on your flood fill can and flood your selection with your apbbfur pattern.
        Select None.

 16. Go to I-Decay> Radial Diffuse and use the same settings as step #7.  They should still
        be loaded.  Click OK.

 17. Go to adjust> sharpness> sharpen. Select None.

 18. Go to layers> new raster layer and rename your new layer Muzzle.  Click OK.

 19. Go to selections> load save selection> load selection from disk and browse
        to your apbbmuzzle.sel by clicking on the arrow and highlighting it.  Click Load.

 20. Click on your flood fill can and flood your selection with your apbbfur pattern.
       Select None.

 21. Go to I-Decay> Radial Diffuse and use the same settings as step #7.  They should still
        be loaded.  Click OK.

 22. Go to adjust> sharpness> sharpen. Select None.

 23.  Selections> invert.

 24.  Go to effects> 3D effects> drop shadow using the settings below.  Click OK.

 

 25.  Selections> None
